Warrington Arts Festival 2025

This year we were invited to be involved in the Warrington Arts Festival, working with Warrington Culture to design and create a Batik Flag which would show what Warrington means to our Ukrainian members.

We used our group discussions and stories to create our designs and then have learnt from our Silk Stories artists how to wax the images and then to paint the dye on, creating bright and colourful flags. Everything on the flags has been created by the groups themselves, from the initial drawings through to the composition, waxing and then dyeing.
